Harper Kim
Harper Kim is a Patent Agent in the Los Angeles office of Concept IP. She is admitted to practice before the United Stated Patent and Trademark Office and registered as a Korean Patent Attorney before the Korean Intellectual Property Office. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics and Bachelor of Law.
She assists with the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and international patent applications, prior art searches, claim charts for infringement analysis, among other responsibilities. Her expertise spans electronics, mechanical devices, avionics, unmanned aerial systems, three-dimensional printing, optical devices, software, and related technologies.
Prior to joining Concept IP, Harper worked as a Korean patent attorney at one of the biggest patent law firms in Seoul, Korea. She was in charge of U.S. and Korean patent application for technological leading companies and handled cutting-edge technologies, including electronics, semiconductor devices/equipment/processing, memory devices, optical devices, light emitting devices, and others. She gained extensive experience in handling appeals, patent validity analysis, and incoming and outgoing patent applications from/to the U.S., Europe, China, and Japan in cooperation with foreign patent attorneys.
She has also handled artificial intelligence, augmented reality, computer simulation, wearable devices, mechanical devices, automate data labeling, autonomous driving control, mechanical devices, medical/dental devices, ultrasound devices, battery cell, business models, and materials, during her career. She has been responsible for U.S. national stage entry of PCT and U.S. patent applications claiming priority to foreign patent application.
